Marine Discovery Centre

Coburg Aquarium is proud to be a part of the rebuild and extension of the Marine Discovery Centre in Queenscliff. The centre is an important program run by the Department of Primary Industries, and aims to "promote sustainability and conservation by increasing awareness and understanding of the marine environment".
Our involvement includes building and installing nine aquariums to hold various native freshwater fish and crustaceans, as well as some imported species to compliment the marine division. These aquariums will each have individual trickle systems as well as automated flush control and central drainage throughout.
Each aquarium also has an artificial rock background built in to hide filtration and overflow compartments, and to give the tank environment a more natural look. We will also be adding backgrounds to existing marine tanks.
This is just one of the many custom build projects Coburg Aquarium has worked on over the years. If you're after a quote for a custom job, please contact us.
