This month's Tank of the Month belongs to regular Coburg Aquarium customers, Bill Sampson and family.
Inhabitants:- * 1 Blue Tang
- * 1 Yellow Tang
- * 1 Bicolor angelfish
- * 1 Puffer fish
- * 1 Purple firefish
- * 1 Dottyback
- * 2 Blue damselfish
- * 1 Bicolor goby
- * 2 Clownfish ( 1 Black & White, and 1 Orange & White)
- * 3 Turbo snails
- * 3 Hermit crabs
- * 2 Starfish
How big is your tank?
Our tank is a Redsea Max 250 litre tank.
How long have you had the tank for?
We purchased tank from your store in March in March 2012.
What equipment are you using (filtration, lighting, heater, CO2 gear etc)?
Tank has 6-- 39watt, T5 fluro tubes for lighting (3 white 3 blue actinic.) 200 watt heater.
What aquascaping have you done (gravel, plants, corals, etc)?
Tank has 5cm crushed coral base. 50Kg live rock and numerous corals both soft and hard including bubbles, trees and numerous Morphs (Red-Green and Purple).
How much time do you spend maintaining your tank per week?
Tank contains Redsea internal filtration sysstem and 1/6 HP Aquaone chiller.
We spend approx 2 hours per week on maintenance.
What is your maintenance routine (water changes, chemical additions etc)?
Change 45 litres of water each fortnight and add coral food and calcium at the recommended rate.
What do you feed your fish?
We feed our fish with dry marine flake food and frozen brine shrimp also live brine shrimp when available.
What is your favourite tank inhabitant?
Tell us some interesting/unique about your tank?
Our favourite fish are the blue and yellow tangs.
Is there something you would change about your tank and why?
At this stage we don't anticipate changing anything about our tank.
