This month's Tank of the Month belongs to Serra Hickman.
Inhabitants:- * 20 adult Crystal Red Shrimp
- * 12 Shrimplets
- * 5 Celestial Pearl Danio Fry
How big is your tank?
20 litres.
How old is your tank?
4 months.
What equipment are you using (filtration, lighting, heater, CO2 gear etc)?
Aqua One sponge filter and heater, clip on fluorescent light.
What aquascaping have you done (gravel, plants, corals, etc)?
Red Sea substrate, Lilaeopsis mat, Java Moss, Anubias on terracotta pot, bamboo charcoal shelters and Indian Almond Leaves.
How much time do you spend maintaining your tank per week?
30 minutes.
What is your maintenance routine (water changes, chemical additions etc)?
20% water change every weekend. Small doses of: Stability, Flourish, Prime and Mosura BT-9 added with the new water.
What do you feed your inhabitants?
A mix of: Hikari Shrimp Cuisine, Sera Shrimps Natural, Mosura Specialty Crystal Red Shrimp food and occasionally balanced zucchini.
Tell us some interesting/unique about your tank?
Every time we move moss around from our 60 litre community tank, we end up with Celestial Pearl Danio Fry. We are currently on our third lot of Danio Fry and our forth Crystal Red Shrimp pregnancy.
