Reproduction: Spawns in a cave, eggs and fry guarded by the parents.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats most normal foods, but prefers small live or frozen foods regularly.
Additional Comments: Pairing fish. Needs hiding places. Adults are normally very good parents, an excellent choice for anyone wanting to keep a colourful Cichlid and observe their fascinating parental care. This species occurs in many geographic colour variations.
