Reproduction: Egg scatterer.
Feeding: Carnivorous (piscivorous). Eats small fishes. Needs live foods, but accepts dry food.
Additional Comments: Surface swimmer. Likes having floating plants to lurk under. Excellent jumper so use a tight fitting lid. Males have a convex anal fin.
