Reproduction: Eggs laid on plants. First foods for fry: small live foods such as Paramecium.
Feeding: Carnivorous, prefers small frozen or live foods.
Additional Comments: Shoaling fish, best kept in a group. Prefers some open swimming space with plenty of plant thickets. Males develop brighter coloured fins as they mature.
