Reproduction: Difficult to breed in aquaria
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats most aquarium foods, also eats aquatic snails. Relishes live blackworm and frozen bloodworm.
Additional Comments: Very popular community fish, also useful for snail control. A shoaling fish, best kept in a group. Sensitive to 'white spot disease'. Provide some hiding places such as driftwood or cave-like structures.
