Reproduction: Substrate (bottom) spawner. An annual fish, the eggs must be kept dry for a period before being reintroduced to water to hatch.

Feeding: Carnivorous. Prefers small live foods but may eat frozen/dry foods.

Additional Comments: Annual fish (this fish inhabits waterbodies which dry out each year, it has a shortened life cycle). Provide hiding places, best kept in a single species tank. Like all Killifish, a skilled jumper so provide a tight fitting lid.
