Reproduction: Eggs are laid on a hard surface, the eggs (and hatched fry) are guarded by both parents.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats all normal foods.
Additional Comments: Pairing fish. Needs hiding places. Keep with fish bigger than the Jewels. One of the brightest freshwater fish when in breeding colour: both sexes becoming bright red. A very robust species.
