Range: Africa: Lake Victoria
Reproduction: Mouthbrooder, females incubate the eggs in their mouth until the fry are free-swimming.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats all normal foods.
Additional Comments: Males very attractive when mature, with multi-coloured bodies. Known as Christmas Fulu overseas. Can be aggressive, particularly when breeding, so provide some hiding places. Tankmates should be of similar size and hardy nature.
