Range: Inland swamps, dams and lakes from Northern Queensland to South Australia.

Feeding: Freshwater yabbies, prawns, snails, crickets, freshwater fish

Additional Comments: When threatened, this turtle will emit a foul odorous fluid from musk glands at the base of its tail.
