Habitat:
- Heating:28 - 30 degrees C
- Lighting:UVA / UVB (Exo Terra 10.0 globes recommended)
- Environment:Freshwater aquarium environment with enough space between the surface of the water and the top of the tank for the snake to stick its head out to breathe. This snake rarely comes out of the water. Water must be filtered. Provide a hide box.
Range: Northern parts of Australia
Feeding: Live fish or pilchards
Additional Comments: An aquatic snake with baggy skin covered in raspy scales. Sometimes called the Elephant Trunk Snake. This snake should not be handled, as this can cause damage to its body.
