Range: Widespread across Australia.
Reproduction: After mating the female carries her eggs under her tail. The young disperse when they are fully developed.
Feeding: Omnivorous and Herbivorous (grazes on algae). Will also scavenge on fish foods.
Additional Comments: Native Australian shrimp, useful for algae control in planted tanks. Ensure fish tankmates are of similar small size. Suitable for both heated and unheated tanks. Please note: avoid the use of copper based treatments if invertebrates are present in the tank.
