Reproduction: Eggs are laid on a hard surface, the eggs (and hatched fry) are guarded by both parents.
Feeding: Carnivorous. Dry foods and frozen foods.
Additional Comments: Named after Jack Dempsey the boxer, this species is a very robust type, best kept with Cichlids, large catfish etc. Both sexes develop bright blue-green spangles over their body as they mature, adults in breeding condition are very striking.
