Range: Coastal streams and estuaries, NT and Gulf of Carpentaria.
Reproduction: Mouthbrooder, doesn't usually spawn in aquaria.
Feeding: Carnivore, prefers bulky live or frozen foods. Readily accepts pellet foods.
Additional Comments: Very active native catfish, impressive shark-like dorsal fin. Prefers to be in a school.
