Range: Central Australia, in waters fed by artesian springs or bores.
Reproduction: Usually spawn under a rock or in a small cave, the eggs are guarded by the male until they hatch. Suitable first foods for the fry include: vinegar eels, Artemia nauplii, Microworms.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Prefers sinking foods such as pellets.
Additional Comments: Desert Gobies adapt well to community tanks containing other peaceful species. An interesting bottom dwelling fish with a rather comical appearance. Males become very colourful when in breeding condition.
