Range: Patchy distribution across northern Australia, also in southern New Guinea.
Reproduction: Breeding behaviour is unknown for this species.
Feeding: Carnivore, prefers live or frozen (sinking) foods such as Blackworm and Bloodworm. Ensure the Sole get their share of food.
Additional Comments: Australia's several species of freshwater sole all make interesting aquarium subjects. With a highly compressed body and both eyes on the one side of their body, they are perfectly adapted to laying camouflaged on the substrate.
