Range: Northern and Eastern Australia
Reproduction: Eggs laid on a firm surface and guarded by male until they hatch.
Feeding: Omnivorous, accepts most standard foods.
Additional Comments: Males in breeding colour are one of the prettiest of all Australian natives. Keeping a group in a well planted tank will help promote good colour. Non breeding fish are predominantly olive-green in colour.
