Range: Eastern Papua New Guinea
Reproduction: Eggs laid on a firm surface and guarded by male until they hatch.
Feeding: Carnivore, prefers small live or frozen foods such as Daphnia.
Additional Comments: Very colourful dwarf gudgeon, suitable for planted tanks and nano tanks. Sometimes nips the fins of tankmates. Males have larger fins, females in breeding condition develop rounded yellow abdomens.
