Reproduction: Lays eggs on a firm surface (eg tree root), eggs guarded by male until hatched.
Feeding: Carnivore, prefers live or frozen foods. Will eat small fish.
Additional Comments: Looks deceptively slow and reluctant to move (hence the common name), but is a lethal predator to smaller fish.
