Range: Lake Kutubu in Papua New Guinea highlands.
Reproduction: Eggs scattered among plants, usually spawns in morning. First food for fry: Powder foods, Vinegar eels.
Feeding: Omnivorous, accepts most standard foods. Avoid beefheart, feed vegetable foods regularly.
Additional Comments: This popular Rainbow from the New Guinea Highlands is very distinctive, developing a bright turqoise-blue colour when mature. Ideal for a planted tank with plenty of open swimming space, best kept in a small group.
