Reproduction: Eggs are laid in a pit, the eggs (and hatched fry) are guarded by both parents.
Feeding: Carnivorous. Dry foods and frozen foods.
Additional Comments: Very beautiful Cichlid when mature: juveniles are relatively plain, but adults are golden with bright blue faces - particulalrly the females. Males grow about 25% larger than their partners.
