Range: Africa:Rapids of lower Gongo River, Maebo Pool
Reproduction: Spawns in a cave, eggs and fry guarded by the parents.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats all normal foods.
Additional Comments: Pairing fish. Reduced swimbladder. Needs hiding places. Males grow much larger than females and grow rather impressive 'humps'. Also known as Blockhead or Humphead.
