Reproduction: Doesn't normally breed in aquaria.
Feeding: Mostly herbivorous. Efficient algae eater, will also eat sinking-type foods.
Additional Comments: Also known as Hillstream Loaches, these fish are adapted to living on rocks and boulders in fast flowing mountain streams. They prefer oxygen rich water (plenty of aeration) and strong water flow from power filters. Useful as algae eaters in tropical and sub-tropical aquaria.
