Reproduction: Eggs laid under a rock or in a cave-like structure, guarded by male until they hatch.
Feeding: Herbivorous and Omnivorous. Algae-eater, also accepts most sinking-type foods.
Additional Comments: Very popular catfish, also easily bred. Hardy and tolerates a wide range of conditions. Useful algae eater. The albino longfin form is an aquarium strain, it also develops a golden body colour as it grows.
