Reproduction: Eggs laid under a rock or in a cave-like structure, guarded by male until they hatch.
Feeding: Herbivorous and Omnivorous. Algae-eater, also accepts most sinking-type foods.
Additional Comments: Very attractive algae eater, black with star-like white spots. Juveniles are more boldy marked than adults. Difficult to breed (typically successfully bred in Discus-type conditions: soft acidic water and warm temperatures of 28-30 C.)
