Range: Central and South America: Colombia, Panama and Ecuador
Reproduction: Eggs laid on a firm surface and guarded by the male until hatched. Males can be determined by numerous small spines along their cheek.
Feeding: Herbivorous. Algae-eater. Feed sinking foods including vegetable foods and algae wafers.
Additional Comments: Very graceful looking when adult, with long flowing fins. Appreciates lots of green foods, do not keep with territorial fishes.
