Reproduction: Males build a bubblenest in floating plants. After spawning, the eggs are guarded by the male until the fry have hatched and are free-swimming.
Feeding: Carnivorous. Eats all normal foods, appreciates occasional feeds of live foods.
Additional Comments: Male Fighters are extremely popular pets because of their exotic finnage and bright colours. In nature these fish inhabit very weedy habitats and are perfectly adapted to living in small spaces. If kept in a nano tank or other small receptacle, ensure the Fighter is not kept too cool.
