Range: Asia: Southern Myanmar
Reproduction: Males build a bubblenest amongst plants at the surface. After spawning, the eggs are guarded by the male until the fry have hatched and are free-swimming. The fry require tiny live food such as Paramecium.
Feeding: Omnivorous. Eats all normal foods.
Additional Comments: Larger relative of the popular Dwarf Gourami, not quite as colourful. Prefers a well planted tank, with some floating plants. Males develop longer dorsal and anal fins.
